The bridge

A lock vault on Robinhood Chain that moves each coin 1:1 between Robinhood Chain and Bitcoin.

How it works

The bridge is a contract on Robinhood Chain (0xB621…3359) that holds a vault for every coin. It never creates tokens. Moving to Bitcoin locks tokens in the vault; moving back releases them.

Rune in Etchify custody = tokens circulating on Robinhood Chain (supply − vault balance) + tokens burned on Robinhood Chain. This holds at every moment.

Burned tokens

Anyone can burn their own tokens. A burn never stops the bridge: the burned tokens are gone, the same amount of Rune stays in custody forever, and every remaining token stays backed 1:1.

Robinhood Chain → Bitcoin

  1. On the coin page open Bridge → To Bitcoin. Enter an amount and your Taproot address (bc1p…) from a Rune wallet like Xverse, UniSat or Magic Eden, or connect your Bitcoin wallet and its Taproot address is filled in for you.
  2. One transaction locks the tokens in the vault and pays a small ETH fee that covers the Bitcoin network fee. The request is recorded on chain.
  3. Etchify sends the Rune from custody to your address, usually within a minute. After 3 Bitcoin confirmations Etchify records the Bitcoin transaction on the request.

If the send is impossible, the tokens are refunded to your wallet. A request ends exactly one way: Sent or Refunded.

Bitcoin → Robinhood Chain

  1. Open Bridge → To Robinhood and get your own deposit address for that coin. It stays yours.
  2. With Xverse, UniSat or OKX connected, enter an amount and press Send from your wallet: it builds the Rune transfer to your deposit address and you approve it there. Or send the Rune yourself from any Rune wallet. Send only that coin's Rune, without inscriptions.
  3. After 6 Bitcoin confirmations (about an hour), the same amount is released from the vault to your wallet.

Each Bitcoin output can be released only once; the contract stores a receipt per (coin, txid, output). A deposit that carries another Rune or an inscription is not released automatically; Etchify checks it by hand.

Safety rules on chain

  • A coin can be bridged only after its Rune is final and linked, and the link can never change.
  • Releases are capped per coin per day (100,000,000 tokens), limiting the damage if a key is ever compromised.
  • A guardian can pause instantly; only the admin can resume.
  • Refunds go only to the requester; releases only to the recorded recipient.
  • The bridge fee can never exceed 0.01 ETH.

Check the backing yourself

Verify custody lists every Rune with the Runes in Etchify custody, the tokens circulating on Robinhood Chain and the tokens burned. Each Rune's page reruns the checks in your browser against mempool.space, an ord indexer and Robinhood Chain: the etching, the bridge link, custody and 1:1 backing.
