FAQ

Quick answers to the questions people ask most.

Is my coin a real Bitcoin Rune?

Yes. Every coin is etched as a Rune on Bitcoin, its full supply sits in Etchify custody backing the Robinhood Chain token 1:1, and its logo and details are inscribed with it.

Can I always sell my coin?

On Robinhood Chain, yes: every coin's Uniswap v4 pool always quotes a price, and its liquidity is burned, so it can never be pulled. On Bitcoin, Runes sell through marketplace listings that wait for a buyer.

Why is my Rune's name a long string of letters?

Because a Rune name is an address, not a brand. Bitcoin assigns each Etchify Rune a reserved name, and your coin's real name lives in its metadata. See Rune names are addresses.

Why does my coin's address end in e7c4?

It is "etch" in hex. Etchify grinds a CREATE2 salt for every launch. Anyone can make such an address, so always check a coin on Etchify.

Why are prices shown in BTC?

Every coin is also a Bitcoin Rune, so Etchify shows market caps in BTC (and USD) to keep both sides in one unit. You pay and get paid in ETH on Robinhood Chain, for coins on ETH and on cbBTC alike.

Can I change my coin after launch?

No. Name, ticker, image and links are immutable on Robinhood Chain and inscribed on Bitcoin.

Can I choose my coin's Rune name?

Yes. Pick Choose a name on the create form; it is checked live and sealed on Bitcoin until it is etched, about an hour after launch. Or let Bitcoin assign one. See Rune names.

Can I lock or burn my dev buy?

Yes, when you launch: lock it from 7 days to a year (the launchpad holds it, and only you can receive it after the date) or burn it to 0x…dEaD. Either way your wallet holds none of it, which buyers and terminals can see.

Can my creator fee go to someone else?

Yes: split it among up to 10 wallets, or give it to your coin's top 100 holders. You choose at launch and it can never change. See Creator fees.

Can anyone create more tokens?

No. The token has no mint function after launch and the Rune has no open mint. The supply is 1,000,000,000 forever.

What happens if tokens are burned?

They are gone from Robinhood Chain for good, and the same amount of Rune stays locked in custody forever. Every remaining token is still backed 1:1.

My coin says "Bitcoin soon". Is something wrong?

No. It trades on Robinhood Chain immediately; the Rune is etched in the next Bitcoin blocks and becomes final after six.

Why did my trade fail?

Usually because the price moved more than 1% before your trade landed, or the wallet lacked ETH for the amount plus network fees. Your funds stay in your wallet.

Is there protection against snipers?

Your dev buy happens inside the launch transaction, so nobody can trade your coin before you. Robinhood Chain orders transactions first come, first served, so gas bidding cannot jump the queue.
