Creator fees
Launch a coin and earn from every trade on it.
How much you earn
The wallet that launches a coin is its creator. Its coin pays a 1% creator fee on every trade in the coin's pool, buys and sells, in the coin's currency (ETH, or cbBTC for a coin paired with cbBTC), whether the trade comes through Etchify or any other app.
Example: if your coin trades 10 ETH of volume, its creator fee is 0.1 ETH.
Where it goes: your choice at launch
| Choice | Who gets the 1% | How it is paid |
|---|---|---|
| To me | You | It waits in the launchpad until you claim it. It never expires. |
| Split | Up to 10 Robinhood Chain wallets, by the shares you set (they add up to 100%) | Anyone can pay it out; Etchify does every few minutes. Each wallet gets its share straight from the launchpad. |
| To holders | Your coin's top 100 holders | Every 4 hours, ranked by balance × time held, through the rewards contract. |
The choice and the wallets are part of the launch quote and stored on chain in the launch transaction. Nobody can change them afterwards, you and Etchify included. The coin page shows the choice, what each wallet received and every holder round.
Claiming (To me)
- Connect the wallet you launched with.
- Open Account.
- Under Creator fees each coin shows what it has earned and what is ready to claim.
- Press Claim and approve. The ETH goes straight to your wallet.
Only the creator wallet can claim a "To me" coin's fees. The launchpad enforces it on chain (
claimCreatorFeesreverts for anyone else), so nobody else can take them, including Etchify. For Split and To holders coins, anyone may call it, and the ETH can only go to the coin's fee wallets or to holder rewards.
Locking your dev buy
When you make a dev buy you can keep it, lock it for 7, 30, 90 or 180 days or a year, or burn it. A locked dev buy is held by the launchpad until the date, then anyone can release it, to you only. A burned one goes to 0x…dEaD in the launch transaction. Both are shown on the coin page and in terminals as tokens your wallet does not hold.
